Used on Hobie Wave sailboat main halyard in place of stock hook
The Wichard 1/4 Key Pin Shackle With Bar is a perfect solution for me. My Hobie Wave (small sailboat) comes with a hook to attach the main halyard to the mainsail. (the hook tended to come off when lowering the sail) .
The Wichard Shackle is very well build and the locking pin works very well.
Tip: The "bar" which keeps the shackle permanently attached to the halyard can be removed, in order to put through a closed loop. There is a roll pin that can be tapped out and then tapped back in. (I was unable to see that in the specifications, but that is how it is equipped.
